The trial for Kandice Barber, the Buckinghamshire, England teacher accused of having sex with a teen student, has uncovered further salacious details about how she allegedly drew in the boy.
According to The Daily Mail, teacher Kandice Barber, 35, is currently facing a retrial on charges she had sex with a teen student on multiple occasions.
This week, jurors heard Barber allegedly kissed the boy on the neck and asked him if he wanted to make love.
She also allegedly sent the 15-year-old a text that asked whether he “preferred boobs or bum.”
Kandice Barber, 35, is standing trial for a second time over allegations from 2018
Married teacher, 35, accused of having sex with schoolboy, 15, in field ‘kissed him and whispered she wanted to make love after he finished classes for the day’ and asked if he “preferred boobs or bum” in text’
“She kissed him on the neck, he kissed her back, she then whispered, ‘what do you want to do now?’ She touched him along his clothing and on his abs area,” prosecutors surmised of the evidence against teacher Kandice Barber in regards to her relationship with the student.
“‘She said, ‘do you want to have sex?’ and he said, ‘I don’t mind’ and then, ‘yes.’”
A witness also reported to the court that he saw a text on the boy’s phone (allegedly from Barber) that read: “Do you prefer boobs or bum?”
According to news.com.au, prosecutors also alleged that Barber is too “savvy” to be the victim of baseless claims and claimed her defense is “trying to pull the wool” over jurors’ eyes.
Instead Ms Barber was accused of “trying to pull the wool” over jurors’ eyes by claiming she had never faced a police interview before.
“[Kandice] Barber is smart, she is not a fool, she is savvy, she is an adult, she is a teacher, she was in a teaching role at the school,” prosecutor Richard Milne told Amersham Law Courts of the woman’s relationship with the student.
“Was she being given the run around by this boy simply making all of this up? She gave a no comment interview and a prepared statement effectively denying all of the allegations.”
According to The Sun, prosecutors accuse Barber of having “slipped up” because she didn’t mention she had been interviewed by authorities in unrelated cases in the past.
The jury has already been told that Barber has been convicted of sending the boy a video of her performing a sex act.
Kandice Barber, of Wendover, Bucks, denies three counts of causing or inciting a child aged under 16 years to engage in a sexual act.
However, previous attempts to prove Kandice Barber had a direct intimate relationship with the student previously resulted in a hung jury.
Barber has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
Earlier this week, she was defended by her husband who told the court the couple remains in a “strong” marriage and that he doesn’t believe the charges against her. He also claimed there was “no evidence” his wife sent explicit snaps to the alleged victim despite her conviction.
The trial remains ongoing.
“Our relationship is how it is today, it has never changed,” Daniel Barber told the jury. “We have always been good and we have always been strong.”
