Jay Inslee, the Governor of Washington is teaming with a few major businesses, such as Starbucks, to streamline the coronavirus vaccine effort in the state to increase the pace at which the government can vaccinate its residents.
Inslee, on Monday, announced a public-private collaboration statewide to build the infrastructure of the state so that it’s able to gradually vaccinate around 45,000 each day.
Every stakeholder in this group holds a distinct responsibility.
It’s expected that Starbucks will commit its employees for optimizing the vaccination sites, with focus on the patient experience, said the company. The coffeehouse will also help offer scalable solutions and grow site selection in 39 nations as well as 29 tribal countries.
It’s an opportunity for serving others as well as has a positive impact on a major humanitarian effort, said CEO and president of Starbucks, Kevin Johnson through a statement.
Gov. Inslee has so far convened some of the major private and public capabilities and resources to optimize and boost the vaccination procedure in the home state, Johnson continued. The company is proud of contributing in every possible manner to help scale and operationalize equal access to coronavirus vaccine, he further added.
Besides Starbucks, Microsoft, SeaMar, and Costco will also take part in helping the initiative.
