One person has died in the Sunday shooting at a Wisconsin mall — and investigators have identified a teen suspect, authorities said early Monday.
Jovanni J. Frausto, 19, was killed when shots rang out inside the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, local authorities said.
Another person who was shot suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released, according to the Grand Chute Police Department.
The shooting is believed to be a “targeted incident,” authorities said.
Police were still searching Monday for Dezman V. Ellis, 17 — who is “believed to be armed and dangerous” — in connection to the shooting, cops said.
He was last seen riding in a blue 2012 Dodge Avenger with the Wisconsin license plate AHP7939.
Authorities safely escorted everyone who had sheltered in place.
A worker at a mall restaurant called Box Lunch told the Associated Press the scene was chaotic.
“People just started running,” Haylie Mirr said. “We just locked the doors, and we had four customers in the store, we brought them to our back room.”
